Actually I think the intention is to go out drinking somewhere.
As such, I personally would place an 18+ only age restriction on this event, as UK law prohibits drinking in or even entering licensed venues while under the age of 18.

This is what I also worried about, however, if it's not going to be a pub thing...
Its only fair that those coming from the continent get the easiest accommodation, nothing worse than traveling all that way and still having to sort that out.

I was thinking that some of it would be a drinking thing, yes, but most would be either drinking at peoples houses, like a party sort of thing (or raid if you will ) and having some BBQ's in some nearby parks, kicking a fotball about together, generally making a good time of it for people of ALL ages.
Think it will be much cooler if we do our own thing instead of clubbing it anyways. Dont get me wrong, im up for going out but i think it will be cheaper for those worried about money and more convenient for those underage.
Its not my show here, but i would suggest NO age limit

I'm just thinking that if the intention is to go to a pub or other similar venue then under 18s will be an issue. I guess this gives an excuse to start thinking about what you are doing and when, though

i have to agree with Baldi on this one, Madrak get your ass over here if u can get the money and any other stupidly young members of the haven, it must be stated that we do not condone underage drinking but should umistakenly drink an english bevarage and not realise its a pint of vodka....well that can happen to anyone!!

I'll need somewhere to stay for the night though... I might be able to cough up money for a B+B or something. Also, if anybody is going to be driving through Salisbury, and it'd be convenient, could I maybe bum a lift? If not I can probably get my own.

Well i've always wanted to do a meet and I love alcohol... ahh the days of Karazhan with a beer in one hand and the raids health in the other hand
anyway. Yeah I will be driving from Wrexham to where ever the meet is as I will be attending. I can only come august time really as i'm already a part of a big road trip to France in June-July
So anyone who wants to join me in my pimp wagon are welcome. Wrexham is in North Wales for anyone who doesn't know

Little update on travel shit.
To drive by car from Lincoln to East midlands airport (and the same back i would assume) = just over 1hr.
Alternatively;
Bus' run from EM airport to NOTTINGHAM every half an hour, 7 days a week, and costs around £5.
From Nottingham to Lincoln is a straight train journey, and one way costs approx £8.
So those wanting to fly to EM airport from your 3rd world countries this is an option. Total cost EM Airport to Lincoln = Aprox £15. Total travel time = About 1hr - 1 1/2hr. We will also be living about 10-15 minutes walk from the train station, and will come and pick you up (if i havnt come to Nottingham to pick you up from the bus station to the train station and make sure you dont end up in Afghanistan or something...)
As Zaggu said too, flying to one of the London airports and getting the train up here is also an option; im sure you could book some tickets and/or find some information on places like:

ok guys bit of a progress check, loads of good feedback, help with details and plenty of confirmations for august.
Would like to just send some thx out to the people helping me organise and putting up sofas or rides (peepee u no where im comin from, virtual high five!!)
met up with burrick an buggy and went around my home town the other day and if that is anything to go by this meet could b a bloody memorable weekend so lets keep the posative feedback coming.
this thred i hope can b left open until the meet so people can ref the assorted info given and also the confirmation thred, if whoevers in charge of that stuff could do that , would b most helpfull!
as a last point remember this event IS happening so its really only about two things to each of us....
1. do i want to go to the greatest event on earth?
2. do i need to bring a full 70s style velvet suit so i look hip? (thats a no tingham)
keep the help coming if u have spare room and lifts or contact me if u have specific needs.
