Oh, if hes just going to be running windows on the thing, then windows has already won.

Shame. I was looking forward to trolling him for using a mac :(

Erm ok, so the main games he is likely to be playing at LAN:

TF2 CSS eve CoD4.

All have mac versions/have steam versions. So he can do all his gaming through OSX.

WAH WAH WAH, our opinions of the MAC OS is nicely outdated but we will resolutely stick to it etc. etc. The arguments are as stale as the boxers I've been wearing for the last month.

With steam for OS X there is already a good selection of mac versions.

Anyway let's get this thread back on track. It is supposed to be about FOOD.

I'll be interestd to see how well it plays. In reviews / benchmarks I've seen so far online, macs fail quite badly in the graphic prettyness / FPS areas.

e2a: oh yeah, food. :-D

of course i also eat most other things, but those are the most important things!

Sad fact of the matter is ATI/Nvidias drivers are out of date compared to PC, Macs by default ship with terribad GPUs and even the best upgrade they offer is considered midrange. Oh and did I mention lolmac?
On the food side of things I'm flexible enough on this issue to bring/eat meat off a bbq, from the bar, pizza ordered in, sainsburys snacks etc. It's definitely something to wing on the day.

Theres enough stuff food wise about I'd have said that people can just make it up as they go along. Get some buns or something each day for BBQ bacon/sausage/burgers. Cakes and snacks will be a-plenty. Then theres takeaways and that still, so its not like we dont have enough choice!

BBQ is a must though!

Though safest to have a plan that includes a contingency for bad weather. Just a hunch.

Oh yeah:

Can someone bring a tarp and some sticks along?

Last time vibs had a bbq in the torrential rain, a good ol tarp solved that problem :-D

There was a covered area we found near the second campsite that worked well at i38 - this was in the middle of the storm, it even had benches and shizzle too!

I'm not too concerned about evening stuff, that will work itself out - my main concern is that I can't function without something decent for breakfast :D
