[i43] Bloodbowl cup?

So a number of us that are going to i43 have bloodbowl LE, so I was thinking that, maybe on the Saturday afternoon we could have a knockout cup competition of some sort.

For this, I presume we would need a nice power-of-2 number of entries, so likely 8 or 16 players. 8 players would mean 3 rounds, 16 players would mean 4 rounds.

It would be a straight knockout competition, so once you lose, you're out.

If enough people are interested, then perhaps we can collaboratively come up with a set of rules to cover things like what inducements we will allow, and a valid range for the Team Value (e.g. we could say that teams could be anything from 1000-1300 for round 1)

What say ye?

I'm up for this. My game that week would be against Vel, too, so we've both agreed to hold off on it until i43, so people can watch first-person should they so wish. No projector this time, of course, but as we're sitting next to each other, people can watch both screens.

Could be fun, hows about £2 entry or something, and then prises for the winner? Not thinking anything major, but just something cheap affordable but accross 8 people still a nice price?

Watch out I reckon Iron Fist is a hustler!!!

He lures you in with a few bad seasons....then BAM! He takes all the teams out in one fell swoop when money is involved!

Come on guys, suck it up.

I managed to beat Trax 3-0 in the last league.

The league before it was bob that was unbeatable.

On any given sunday...

I must admit, in terms of who I'm most 'afraid' of playing - it's you and Ronin.

Although Trax keeps beating me as of late, I can always just put that down to TraxHax ;)

Ok let's do this like I used to do my poker nights at uni.

-8 person max entries (though if we have the numbers we can increase this and use byes to fill in the gaps for the first round, likely easy to do if we manage the matches ourselves)
-Brand new TV1000 team, any race of your choosing (though I am open to suggestions here - we could, for instance, play hotseat games and manage who plays who ourselves and instead pick, say, the pre-made TV1500 (or whatever value) team for your chosen race - suggestions?)
-£2 entry fee per person. Each person can only enter once.
-3rd prize: £2 (get your money back)
-2nd prize: £5
-1st prize: £9
