[i43] Clanbox Charges!

This thread is for the discussion of the extra charges in relation to the clanboxes, as have been just announced by multiplay.

Clanboxes are for 32 people and to obtain one we need a full complement of 32 people already booked and paid, and then in addition a charge of £10 per person.

Would you be willing to pay that to sit in a clanbox? If yes, why? If no, why?

Therefore an additional £320 will need to be paid in one payment by your nominated ClanBox leader, for all 32 members when your ticket is processed. We will be doing this manually, and contacting you directly to secure your ClanBox places. Remember as always ClanBox payments are non refundable and once a booking is confirmed as being in a ClanBox it becomes non refundable unless a replacement for that seat in the box is found.

So, by the time 1 person has taken all £320 how much will paypal have, £15(?), £20(?) Nice thinking multiplay, nice thinking, how are groups supposed to amass the money in advance?????

the charge can be paid by card over the phone - this means no paypal tax.

We make enough noise by ourselves, I doubt we'd notice for the most part.

They've said the main hall is well ventilated this time. Fair enough, no AC.

There was no smell at Stoneleigh, and that had poor ventilation.

Light is less controllable, yes. I'll give you that one

We just sit in the other hall from the G2 kiddies - solved.



Basically, I can't justify £320 for controllable light, Rock Band, and AC.

I'll add to Huung's argument here by stating that there doesn't look to be any area inside the boxes where Rock Band could be set up with a projector anyway.

The boxes will be 4x8 person rows, and with one wall being entirely windows and the other having a massive door in the centre we'd have to put such a setup in the middle of two rows - sorry but I can't see it happening.

Assuming all boxes are the same layout... may find some have doors to the side or some such.
