Odd way to do business to decide this after folks have bought their tickets - actually works out easier for me to get to but a really really easy way to piss a lot of people off methinks.
I imagine yeah, it will piss off people, but then I'm sort of thinking from multiplays point of view.
If you get 3500 people wanting tickets for a 2000 capacity venue, you're going to definitely get 1500 pissed off people....
If you get 3500 people wanting tickets for a 5000 capacity venue, of which 1000 now have a bit more trouble in getting there, then you get 1000 people of which a fair chunk will still go, but will be then in the group of "people who find it hard to get to lans"... a group which has always had members really.
I imagine its a bit annoying for us southerners, who are only like 30 mins from newbury, but for a lot of those further north, I imagine its brilliant.
The only way theyll find out is to try it. Yeah, they could wait and try next year instead, but I imagine they love their new toys/venues and want to try it ASAP
Upsides and downsides I guess.
