So on the August Bank holiday weekend i40, the big summer LAN from Multiplay, will be happening at Newbury Racecourse.
I know of a significant number of people that have expressed an interest in going, so I would like to highlight and suggest possible use of one of the facilities that are available at these LANs, and that is the LANBOX.
On the 3rd floor of the Berkshire stand, there are a number of rooms that are reffered to at the LANs at LANBoxes - essentially self-contained rooms where you are all on the same network as everyone else, except that the room has space for 22 people and that's it.
Multiplay offer these on a first-come first served basis, and they have to be reserved UP FRONT and with 22 full booking IDs from people that have ALREADY BOUGHT their tickets.
Tickets for the summer event are traditionally available straight after the Easter event, though it may be a little different this year with the addition of the smaller June LAN, but for us to be able to successfully get a whole clanbox we need to have 22 people signed up and PAID early on or fill in any gaps with randoms/other people we know.
What would people's thoughts be on attempting to get a clanbox together? Would you prefer it or would you instead prefer to be on one of the main floors with everyone else? Were you to want to come, would you be in a position to pay for your ticket very early on after they become available (potentially straight after Easter) so that we could reserve a box?
