To give a little comment on if I'm enjoying the game, I really am. I was a bit swamped with the upgrade system at first, but you just need to get whatever you want, there is no definitive must have upgrade.

But I am really greatly disappointed in the iron sight combat of this game. Every encounter with an enemy as infantry is basically looking down your ironsight, holding down M1 and hope you're better at pointing at the enemy than they are at you. I really believe this game would benefit from not having ironsights but fastpaced shooting from the hip action, allowing you to skillfully strafe the enemy while applying pressure.

I now have like 6 beta keys to give out.

They keep changing the game, for the better. Owning facilities now provides benefits beyond just resources (regeneration, tanks, better turrets...). Ticket system now replaced by Tug-of-war. Once you capture all the territories on a single continent, your empire gets a temporary bonus (reduced cost of XY).

So I downloaded this and started playing with a few peeps at LAN, and it very quickly reminded me why I used to play the original so much...

I now have a BR 8 on both lithcorp (thatbloke, Caleth, Lycastus, NotFred, anyone else who was at LAN ) and a BR8 on cobalt (Ronin, Trax, Ghostwolf).
Pretty much a medic on both. Managed to get the medic gun on both to lvl4 so can get ppl up again fairly quickly .

Either way, I have VibroAxe on lithcorp currently not really decided between medic or light assult. Need my machine back, but enjoyed it very much at lan. Seemed a good teamgame

BR 8 is your battle rank (i.e. level).

so he's level 8

Turns out I got into TS, and all the folk were on Cobalt, so that's where I created my toon.

I won't be creating one on Lithcorp. Don't think I can handle having three PS2 chars...

Only the start of a project, really, but this could turn out to be useful if they implement what they intend:

Currently limited to a zoomable version of the in-game map but minus any icons, so only just useful. With the icons, it'll become quite helpful. Add the PS2 API integration and multi-user features they intend, it could become invaluable as an operations planning tool.
