Alesis DM5 - Drum Module $349.00 - Abe's of Maine
Alesis DM5 Module/Pad 4-Piece Electronic ... $449.94 - Musicians Friend

So thats £325 for a full electronic drum kit,

Alesis DM5 Electronic Drum Kit $449.97 - Sweetwater
Alesis DM5 Pro Electronic Drum Set $599.94 - Musicians Friend

A normal DM5 pro kit from Alesis costs £300, so your basically paying £25 to get the rockband adaptor and it's only £150 at first investment!

Might consider this one, wonder if they ship to the uk

Q: I don't live in the US. Can I buy Drum Rocker and have it shipped to me in another country?
A: While we will only be accepting pre-orders from US customers on the drumrocker.com site, we do have plans to sell Drum Rocker in other countries. We will make a more formal announcement in the coming weeks.

I would assume that the RB1 drumkit would still be compatible with RB2.

Oh yeah i'm sure it will, be I don't want the RB2 standard drum kit, but i kinda like the idea of that Spangly SE

I can't claim to have tried this kit or anything, but the others I tested that were in that price range really didn't cut it for proper drumming. I'm sure it would be great for Rock Band, but you may end up disappointed if you're planning on using it otherwise.

I don't expect the world out of it, but as an interim between the two it seems like a good deal. Also presumably, it's possible to buy this kit and use the adaptor with an existing drum kit

Gamespy has a nifty little post with screenshots of the song menu, sorted by difficulty of each instrument. Nice if you're curious about what goes where.

Also a note for those of you who have Rock Band: if you're planning on buying RB2, you can export the RB1 songs to your console's harddrive to use them in the new game. There should be an option in your Rock Band menu after the most recent patch. :)

My leg and back ache.

Not a whole lot to say about it. If you have RB1, buy it. It's cheaper than buying 104 songs via xbox live. (Or if you don't own it, RENT RB1 and export the songs... :p)

Overall, it's mostly the same game. The improvements are small and many, but they really add up. (I never want to sort through a RB1 style songlist looking for something ever again now that I've tried this. :)) I'd say almost every tiny little gripe I had about RB has been addressed.

The songs are well chosen and well charted as usual. They are a little harder than those from RB1, and a few of them are much longer than anything that was in RB1.

The new drum training mode is excellent, and I'll go over it in detail sometime in the near future.

I need a nap.

Stop drumming like a mad man? :p

Also, are you using your real drumkit or the RB1 drumkit ?

How exactly would I hook up my other drums to the xbox?

And, in fact, it would hurt less if I could drum properly... In order to not break the pedal, it's extra work for my leg.

A) I know I haven't done a proper writeup yet. I haven't got as much playtime as I'd like yet!

B) I hear rumours that an xbox ad that just started running gives a November release date for RB2 on your side of the ocean.

I believe the ad in question is actually advertising the November release of Xbox Experience, which is the new dashboard update (And looks tres shiny)

It is possible that this is when RB2 is planned for release as well :S
