For me at least, i just dislike that approach to gaming - i don't want 90% of the levelling experience to be a "tutorial", as i'm neither a retard nor fond of grinding.
Both Eve and Warhammer online spring to mind as games that handle PVP a lot better.

WAR was designed around PVP, It was the games main aspect as such 90% of the game WAS PVP.

And as for EvE. I just don't really think that games PVP is too good myself. I'm not going to go into detail because of the amount of EVE fans around here.

Whilst I keep quitting EVE due to not being able to grind it to a "max level" as I love doing, I have to admit the PvP in it is insanely awesome. Team PvP at it's absolute best. In other games, like WAR, WoW, STO, LOTRO etc etc; working as a team has it's advantages, very much so, but isn't essential for winning. With EVE, it's ALL about the teamwork, and I love that it has that aspect.

I never really got along with STO, I was SO looking forward to it, and I guess it just disappointed me way too much for me to be able to give it any decent amount of time.

I have to disagree entirely. All the way from Lt to RA the PVP was generally all the same; teams that work together with balanced team builds and good tactics were - 99% of the time - outdone by pure DPS pubs that hadn't even heard of the word teamwork.

Well, more saying that I didn't enjoy it... because I didn't enjoy it. Then giving reasons for said lack of enjoyment. Almost like this was a forum for discussion or something

I realise there a few good aspects of it; however that doesn't mean nobody should talk about the many bad ones, as that hardly makes for a balanced discussion.
