Wait for the bus to arrive at our stop

Amy enjoys her view of the non-descript background until the bus stops and the doors open. This is where she gets off.

The oak tree is just a short-ish walk from here. Call it two minutes. Then Amy can find out what this is all about.

Though on a second thought...

He said in his hello post he has a story.

What I have in mind is a Choose Your Own Adventure kind of affair, but instead of there being fixed paths and responses, I'll try to accomodate even some of the more outlandish suggestions. At the same time, though, I do have a story to tell, so there won't be a total freedom. The end result should be something halfway between a freeform RPG and an adventure game.

How is she going to do that? She's at the front of the bus, and even then, the window is too strong!

That concern however turns moot very soon.

Amy is clear off the bus. She's relatively unexperienced at this whole flying business, though.

Umbrella seems like the only option, but seeing as it's the abyss (with unfathomable and infinite depth) perhaps she should phone her friend also to let her know that she may not be able to make their appointment seeing as she's going to be falling for a while.
