Seems we're leaning LE which tbh surprises me slightly but as has been said whatever gets the most ppl happy/playing.
I'm in as always
Looks like a couple more people have come out in favour of DE, but aye I would like a game with you sometime! Prod me on Steam sometime after December starts.

Currently stands at 11 players interested, 2 For DE, 2 For LE, everyone else is happy with either.
I've fired up some wider publicity for some people I know IRL who are interested in this sort of thing. Don't know if the once-per-week approach will work for them but we may get a further 2-4 this way.

LE or DE? The once a week thing is pretty much set in stone to be honest.
I think a 8 to 12 team league would work out pretty well.
On the once-a-week, understood. It's not a negotiation point, just a note that this may mean we get less as a result.
They're mostly DE, I believe, with some possible thoughts on getting LE. I'm pointing them here and figuring that if they don't make it here they're not actually going to be playing. After all, interaction with THN and all the organisation is done here. That'll allow them to speak for themselves.

We can be flexible, but I just don't see a viable alternative which will enable the league to get completed within a semi punctual timeframe
Yeah, we're pretty much certainly going to have a break in that period.

Ronin, Ghostwolf and myself have discussed things, and we want to get this running ASAP, especially since most people (ourselves included) would like a break over christmas to new year.
Since there is an even split between those who only have LE and those that only have DE, we've made the (tough) decision to make the switch now to legendary edition. We're going to take the rest of you at your word when you said you have LE, or would be ready to purchase it for this league.
The switch between platforms was going to have to occur at some point, and it might as well be now. Yes, we could have waited until after christmas, but there is no guarrantee LE would be in the steam sale, especially considering that cyanide have offered a permanent 30% discount for people who already own DE.
Legendary edition offers a (far) greater variety of teams, a slightly more streamlined interface and full inducements for classic mode, including bloodwieser babes etc.
Apologies to those who feel left out, but again, the shift was going to have to be made sometime, and now is as good a time as any.
The official sign up thread will go up on saturday, and run for a week, whilst we get the league set up on cyanide and get everyone registered etc. Gaming will commence the week after that. The flexible one game a week system, organised via THN will be the organisational method. We'll put full rules up in the sign up thread once we have everything sorted.
Suffice to say, we will all start with new, TV1000 teams, and we would like as many different teams as possible. There is massive scope for variety with LE, so we don't expect much overlap.
Please use the rest of this thread to try and organise who wants to play as which race.

I would prefer to play as:
Necromantic or Vanilla Elves, though wouldn't have a problem rocking up with Orcs, Humans or Skaven.
