Then why oh why do my guys always have to do all the heavy lifting?
I'm always the support player. You call for fire, I'll be there. Besides, it's partly because the AI seems to hit whoever is more aggressive first.
Then why oh why do my guys always have to do all the heavy lifting?
I think they suffered from a serious amount of over-specialisation. Helos followed by helos followed by... er... helos. Lack of variety really hurt them. Then just buying the biggest, heaviest tanks they could and relying on them doing everything...
Victory through variety, I think.
I feel like I should have joined in now![]()
Next time, Gadget, next time!
The game certainly steps up a notch when sneak attacks, rushes, counter-artillery and so on are realistic prospects.
Looks like Wargame is getting an expansion:
Note the F15's.
I feel cautious about the inclusion of fighters but they did a very good job with the rest of it so I'm quite prepared to see how they go with it. What I'd really like is more maps!
And then after that delicious date.... LAN!Great. I havent even played the first one yet as its still sitting 15,000 miles away in an amazon package and now theres a sequel. grrrrr.
dont worry Ghostwolf only 29 days to go until you can play games again. 29 days...
Starcraft, lol, that is a poor comparison.
Dear Wargame player !
We are very pleased to announce the imminent release of the 3rd free DLC for Wargame European Escalation: COMMANDER.
Here’s a closer look into what this new content will add to your game:
COMMANDER DLC for Wargame: European Escalation extends the conflict with brand new content.
This new DLC features “Economy,” a new game mode available in both single and multiplayer with new objectives for commanders worldwide. To earn victory in this mode, you will have to reach a certain number of Command Points before your opponents (points obtained by taking control of areas in the field). These points can also be used to deploy reinforcements, and a hard choice will quickly be imposed: continue your march toward victory or spend your points to replace your losses and defend your territory?
In addition Economy mode, two new maps (Bystrany & Thüringen Wald) are now available for Destruction, Conquest and Economy modes. On these rugged maps, hilly regions provide a serious height advantage, while ambush opportunities will keep players on their toes! For even more excitement, the map Storm Eye is now playable in Alamo mode, while the maps Fulda Gap and River of Blood are available for Conquest mode.
Dear Commander!
We are very pleased to announce the imminent release of the 4th free DLC for Wargame European Escalation: FATAL ERROR.
Here’s a closer look into what this new content will add to your game:
The DLC Fatal Error focuses on solo play, bringing you a brand new 5-mission long Operation. This 5-missions operation is completely independent to Wargame's original campaign, and will provide you new, bigger challenges to face.
Based on an original alternate history, the Operation Fatal Error will bring you back in 1979, a time when hopes for a peaceful settlement of the East/West tensions had never seem so close… until all hopes were shattered by the Euromissiles crisis, and the discovery of a Soviet combat brigade being deployed in Cuba. Within the depths of Mount Cheyenne, home to North America's most vital command center, a tragic mistake by a maintenance technician sets the world on fire…
Yeah. I'd like to see some sort of tug-of-war mode in multiplayer, which'd be my next request from them. Something a little different to the first-past-the-post destruction mode. Still, I guess they can't neglect single player people...
