Why? I'm not supporting England, so technically i'm being positive actually . I doubt very much that England will win, they are actually looking very weak from what we've seen so far. They'll struggle against Sweden, and they might even lose. And i'll be cheering for Sweden!

In fact, if England win, i'll eat my hat! And I have a very large hat!

It wouldn't be the World Cup if you didn't get discussions like this, but i'm watching it just to support my country's team - if we win, it's a bonus!

Granted, not great performance, but then again, I expected Brazil to thrash whoever it was they played about 4-0 and they limped away with a 1-0 win!

Anyway, it doesn't matter if England loses to Sweden, they've got more work to do anyway, just sit back and enjoy the show!

True, very true. Unfortunately, i'm not really a fan of football, so I find all the hype a bit...well...boring. I usually watch the semis and the final though, there's usually good quality football being played by that time.

heh... the thing you have to remember about the two England games so far is that the ONLY stat that matters is the one that's on the top left corner fo the screen as you watch it on telly: Goals.

I really don't care how bad/well England play, if they don't get more goals than the opposition then that's when bad performances are a problem.

England are, at the moment, doing enough to secure themselves a place in the next phase of the World Cup. This they have achieved, so don't expect wonders against Sweden either. It's just one thing that matters: results. You can play really well for the whole match (take Poland's 1-0 loss to Germany for example) but if you don't get the results, you can end up coming out with nothing.
