Now engerland are in the knockout stages sven wont even play his best squad against sweden, to let the good players rest and let the young'uns have a play, so yes we will probably lose, but its better than seeing some swedish person snapping wayne Rooney, lets get our best squad sorted and rested for the final because footballs coming home

I had to laugh the other day when I was watching the Brazil - Croatia game. One of the commentators said something like 'Yeah, we're lucky to have Wayne Rooney, brilliant player' and then John Motson pipes up 'Uh huh, but remember Brazil have 4 Wayne Rooneys!' I just had to burst out laughing. Rooney doesnt have a patch on any of the Brazillian players; if Brazil had 4 Wayne Rooneys theyd have been out in the group stages. Its this kind of nonsense that makes me want to detach from the rest of the UK.

Sorry to all you rooney bummers out there, but he has nothing on any of the other players in the england team, Against T&T on thursday it was Lennon who made the difference ,rooney did nothing positive except boost morale when he came on.

ROONEY IS OVERRATED

I dont see why he has som uch reputation, he did well in Euro 2004, wooptidoo! Hes a good player but not that good tbh, I would put Crocuh infront of him anyday.

I personally think this may be Argentinas year for football, they played really well against Serbia and Montenegro.

But its early stages so things can change and as for Rooney, i have to agree with Gopha, he is overatted, look at crouch, he played really well and so did Gerrad and they dont get near as much credit. Also what Tetsuo said, how can you compare Rooney to someone like Ronaldino (Think thats the spelling) I cant see the connection.

As for me, for the rep GO IVORY COAST! but that looks unlikey as I think they are out But for my personal support............Germany all the way
