Now, i have to say do to personal situations i rarley go onto TS much these days compared to the bad old days but as my forum tag shows i still play "a lot" in the Haven guild ...does this mean i cannot comment on TS issues, since im not raiding and probably wont be for a while..does that mean i cant comment of raiding? My oppinion may not be as up2 date but i would hope any one of you would sho me enough respect to listen to my opinion.
Now the point that Grombal or wat ever his name is "isnt" in the guild but a member of THN...i can appreciate both sides here but i kinda gotta be a hypocryte on this one. Anyone that speaks on a thred wether thier wanted there or not should be heard unless banned or there thru hacking.
My ultimate point is, as a human being and a member of THN "any" person should be able to comment "anywhere" on these forums unless restricted. If you dont agree or like what is said you have 2 chioces..
1. Ignore the post and continue with the statment u want to respond too
2. answer the comment with your argument and try to be an adult about it.

I would lastly like to highlight the word "Adult" as i am saying this and very rarley do it, but sadly that doesnt mean i dont think its the right way forward. I dont like some people ...im sure u guys can appreciate that in some way but if you start "attacking" a comment instead of giving balanced FACT based comments the whole thred is enevitably gonna go downhill and the mods r gonna have to close it.
I hope this makes some sense and be aware i dont say this is the person i am! as i love calling people out on stupid comments but since angelic doesnt post as much ...thrs not much to do these days

Love the thred tho, people should Never in my opinion take these kind of threds badly, its really good to have a good active back an forth every now an again. just dont take offense and if a comment really gets your back then bloody well msg that person in game or talk to them in a ts room, if u just want to bitch an complain then...well, your just gonna be pissed all the time i guess.

Not all opinions are valid; no amount of wishful thinking and idealism will ever make it so. Case in point - people outside of a guild, who have never been members of that guild, do not and cannot hold a valid opinion of how things are run in that guild.

All opinions are valid, the definition of an opinion is

a personal belief or judgment that is not founded on proof or certainty;

So by definition an opinion is valid. Now the question here is: is it valid in this context.

I've never played wow (with the notable exception of the trial period, but thats for another thread). However if you strip everything else away a guild is just a group of people with some leadership, just like a corp, faction, company, group or any number of other things. Consequently I can have a valid point/opinion which might not have previously been considered due to my outside perspective. Similarly, due to an unknown factor, it might be the case that my point doesn't apply in full, in which case I would expect you to refute my POINT (i make it clear that you are refuting my point and not me here) and give some reasons why this isn't valid. If nothing else I would hope that my raising the point has given people a bit of thinking space and a possible different angle which you might be able to attack the problem from.

Similarly, I might have been playing WoW for many years, but never played with the haven. One should surmise at this point that I have seen many things come and go in Guilds of my own, at this point I can again give a piece of constructive criticism/advice. By giving my opinion I am in now way requiring you to act on it, and if you give me a reason why your not going to, I could well reformat my opinion in another way which may still be helpful.

In short, everyone has an opinion, and by definition it is theirs. Ergo, it cannot be invalid, it is a particular persons view on a specific situation with a specific subselection of the facts.

I just don't subscribe that because I don't play wow, i can't give a helpful angle on the running of a group of people. Or because i'm not in TheHaven I can't give helpful advice on how to play WoW

I asked about thE current raiding and heroic status of the guild and his answer was directed at the haven without the tag being mentioned I also agree with velaphor about him saying they shouldn't comment on the status of the haven if they aren't a part of it and have no info on it

Also, in regard to the THN != The Haven thing... It was my opinion, that as a member of THN people had the doors to Community rank of The Haven guild, it being THN's extension to WoW. However, with Gombol's recent declined application to such a spot I guess we can no longer consider The Haven to be a THN extension. It's just two groups of people, partially overlapping and sharing the same forum, but that's about it. I think the mods (along with us users) should realize that.

Tbh, "THN" Is "The Haven Net" Community, the guild would just be "TH" or "THG"

I can understand what you mean by this but i think that some of the people in the guild don't fit into the black and white but the mid greys.

Such as myself, Huung, the newly advancing Bob, thatbloke and a few others who are well known though out 'The Haven' as a whole and go on to the forum for more then the WoW.

However, i wouldn't expect a new member of the wow guild to participate in ever aspect of the THN. Sadly you can't really help the divide its gonna happen, same way that the EVE side of THN is shrouded in mystery to me.

Firstly, im so impressesed with Belf right now, with all the probs of the past and what with u being an irish an all....VERY impressed with how youv acted through this whole discussion, (remember people hes only like 10 years old!!)
Secondly, Just an observation but does anyone else feel like this thred although inspiring discussion and dare i say it "change" has gone on so long that the original points/arguments seem slightly blurred by the 6th or 7th page of responses?

It may be wrong but it almost feels like a lot of the people that have a lot to say about this subject and strong reasons to feel that way have given up on this thred....I may be wrong but it kinda feels that way.

The EVE side is non-existant now anyway , We're closing down those forums Someone said in here earlier that they'd expect to be put down if they came shouting in the EVE section that the leader is corrupt. In Short, exactly what happened Someone came in shouted that the leadership was corrupt, they got put down, and then EVERYTHING COLLAPSED

I myself personally have never spoken to him so there ends my opinion of him. But there seem to be people who just cant leave this alone.
