Still not got my new DSL modem and 3G would be just about the worst possible way to try to play Blood Bowl. There's a possibility that I'm going to have to forfeit this match due to technical failure. :/

And to think I didn't know anything about the game, other than the fact that it existed, before someone announced it was on sale on Steam.
Anyway, when do you plan to start the playoffs, schedule-wise? I ask because, next weekend, I'm going to be away at the THN WoW Guild Meet up in Lincoln, over yonder your charming little isle, so, I'll be out of touch, games-wise.
As such, it would be nice for me to have the next weekend off...

Well, we haven't decided. We need to discuss. We'll inform you asap, but we're only likely to sort that when everyone has finished their games. It's likely as there will only be 4 games, there will be a level of flexibility though.

Definitely enjoyed myself. I've loved how close it's been too, despite the mix of total newcomers and seasoned vets. Just last week I had the prospect of two teams in the final 4 should I win both my games, and now neither is through!
It's this side of Blood Bowl I enjoy most - the way things can seemingly be going so well, only for lady luck to catch up and jinx your dice for the final match.
Can't wait for this longer league; hopefully if the 2 remaining weeks are carried out over the next two weeks, the league can be set up during i40, and a fair few games can be conducted whilst we're in shouting rage of one another

Panda, myself and Ghostwolf haven't yet had sufficient chance to argue out the fine details of a longer term league. There are some "quirks" in all our schedules over September and October, though, so I'm not sure how that's going to work out yet. Ideally, I'd like at least two league organisers to be available at any particular moment but I'm seeing a pattern where that may be only one through those months.
But we've yet to hash it out. Figure we've got a week or so yet, though, while the semi-finals and finals play out.

OK, so there have been some issues on the BB multiplayer interface, meaning that none of the stats come up. Don't know if that's because everyone has played their games or something? Has Ghostwolf pushed the button?
Anyway, with Drae winning 4-0, that puts him on 10pts, with For: 10; Against: 5; Dif: +5, which is enough to eclipse Zoogy for the top of D3 by virtue of TD differential.
Zoogy goes through over Tempscire as best runner up by virtue of TD's for, with 11 over Tempscire's 7.
The unlucky one in all this is Magosreborn, ending on 10 pts, and having beaten Zoogy and drawn with Drae, but having a differential of +2, which isn't enough to take D3 or come in as best runner up.
So the playoffs (semifinals) should theoretically look like:
Waterproofbob vs Zoogy - I.E. Best points vs the runner up
Cheezewhizz2000 vs Children of the Damned/Drae
However, we have yet to work out whether BB will let us sort them like that.
At this stage, it may come down to just playing these games on an ad hoc basis.

Right, I've not got my DSL modem and part of me wonders whether it's going to help anyway. I'm getting around 20% packet loss, which leads to an experience of being down over half the time and never having a stable connection for more than 10 minutes.
As a result, I'll forfeit my match with Ghostwolf.

ahhhhh, damn those gobo's and getting those 2 sneaky TD's. At least I caused one of the bloodiest match's and in the end isn't that what BB is all about
Also no lasting injuries and in fact VERY few injuries at all for the skaven so realy good going, now to make sure I stay that way *Runs and hides*

Dont look at me i havent pushed anything yet, honest.
So as Ronins internet is being a mare our game has been thrown leaving only Nanor and Docbot with a game to play if they want it. Other than that the only thing left to do is push the big 'END THE LEAGUE' button i have right here (which i havent done yet).
Congratulations to all those who have progressed and good hustle to everyone. Got to say i am both happy about how the league has gone and down right impressed at the level of turnout and participation. Out of 45 games i only had to throw the result on 4 of those and that speaks volumes on the effort people have put in.
Hope you all have enjoyed the league and also I hope that you have enjoyed Blood Bowl (i especially hope that part as all this is technically my fault).
Special thanks to Pandawithissues... (his idea) and to Ronin Storm for helping with everything logistical.
I would also like to thank Tempscire and Thatbloke for coming in as subs in the early days.
