Military victory seems easy to me tbh. In a game with myself and ghostwolf on different continents, I was attempting a peaceful cultural victory when those bitches elizabeth and Catherine decide to declare war on me for no reason at all. I then rejigged my empire to science and military in order to crush them and leave me in peace. Now I am aiming for a science victory, but could easily crush anyone on Ghostwolf's continent without any trouble (including him I dare say), with my standing military. Once you have turned your empire to a war and science footing, there is no going back.

I'm sure we all agree that a diplomatic victory would be the hardest, and probably nigh on impossible.

This is on prince difficulty.

Presumably Patronage is handy too! How does one get Great Merchants anyway?

Yeah i think i usuall fire out Liberty, Patronage, Commerce and Freedom never gotten past 3 1/2 trees social policies when i'm doing the diplomacy win... Does feel like a bit of a cop out though...

Still yet to manage a cuture victory... Going to try it with the "filler city" trick when i get time this week.

I did manage a culture victory with Gandhi, but I had to turn the time limit victory off (got to 2095AD or something) and have my 20-citizen capital absolutely pumping out culture.

I got a Diplomatic victory this morning as Alexander, only a score of 1408 or so, my best has been I think 2108 or so as Alexander again, where I was going for diplomatic but ended up getting a tech victory instead. . . .

Remember you have to actually build the utopia project in one of your cities after the trees are finished, and that can take a good 15-20 turns as well.

Downloadable content incoming!

There is the Mongol Civilization, led by Genghis Khan, which is free for all! There is also the Babylonian Civilization, helmed by Nebuchadnezzar (previously available in the digital deluxe pack), which will cost you the equivalent of 4.99 dollars Amurican - probably meaning 4.99 the world over.

Obviously I'm sure Genghis Khan will have all sorts of abilities making him the choice for a cultural victory.

You know what sucks? Having your golden age finish one turn before i finish the utopia project ON THE PENULTIMATE TURN OF THE GAME. Watching that fucking production time spike as I weep onto my dinner apple.
