I was concerned it'd be another zombie game where I'm constantly scraping for ammo. This isn't it at all. Tis great I actually love the dual pistols, infinite ammo and a lot of fun. Have to get the headshots tho.
Well, I've fired up our own dedicated demo server. It should be passworded but the password bit isn't working for some reason. Details as follows:

Well, how very kind of you!
Server updated. Now locked to the THN group on Steam, at least until one of you turns up to play and then it's thrown open to the public. The password is now working, too. That should mean we have our very own L4D server that is for THN members.

The server has now been updated to the full game version. It's running on exactly the same information, which means the demo server is now gone.
The server has some issues with connecting, but a fair few of us managed to join consistently today, and it seems fine coop!
Edit - a little more info!
The Steam Groups server still isn't working properly, so to connect, either add it as a favourite or directly connect. I personally suggest adding it as a favourite:
To join, merely open the server browser, go to favourites and double click the THN server. A password box should come up. Type in "thn" in lower case and click connect. Now, usually, when I do this, a second password box will appear BEHIND the server browser and developer console. Merely more the server browser so you can see it, and click ok (the password will be the same as the one you typed into the previous box). Or wait until someone else is on it, and join them. Again, issues with this. Use the Steam Friends chat window thingy to join people on the server, as the ingame one seems to have issues, and connects you to random games.
This is a bit stupid, and obviously we'll be looking into getting the Steam Groups server bit working. Enjoy!

- Bring it up and type "openserverbrowser" (or something like that beginning with open; it will auto-complete the rest for you).
- Go to favourites.
- Enter the address, promethius.thahavennet.org.uk and click the "Find servers at this address"
- The TF2 server and LFD server should show up in the list. Click the LFD one.
- This should then be added to your favourites.

awesome job elD, the server seems to have been full or pretty much so all of the times i have looked at it!
Would people like a 2nd instance of the server running co-op so more of us can be on?
also apparently having the sv_steamgroup_exclusive cvar is what causes the server no to actually show up but Valve are apparently looking at this and it should sort it's self out soon

A second instance with Versus mode could be good, that way we can do the campaign with 4 people, and other THNers can come in and slaughter them
Largest V's server I've come across is 8 player

I've heard that the issue is with servers that are both passworded and group servers. Might want to try removing one or the other.
I've been thinking that adding a second server to any game without massive over subscription on a single server actually seems to reduce the quantity of play on THN servers, not increase. Perverse though that may sound, scarcity appears to generate interest.
