Okay.

The lead character is an actress who needs to have her horrible voice dubbed as now people can hear her. However, she doesnt like the person replacing her voice being credited, so kicks up a fuss, and gets shown up when trying to sing live.

If that doesnt give it away, I'll give a blatantly obvious clue later :p

So, let's try this on for size:

In a waterlogged city, one crazed cop is on the trailer of a serial killer. Paired up with a straight man partner, they both descend into a state of increasing paranoia as the body count mounts. This is a problem that only has one solution...
