Well, looks like I'm playing undertaker again. . . .

Lots of dead bodies, alarming considering how many coffins there are in the tomb. . .

Anything else people want me to do? Also where is the lever for the main bridge?

FORGOTTEN BEAST in the stairwells. Not good.

Upadated: Forgotten Beast is eating our Magma forge.

Migrants arrive! Up to 39 bodies.

Oh joyful days: a Forgotten Beast made of vomit has come to murder us all!

Next time, I'll try to make a world of happiness and joyful bunnies, with plenty of all the right raw materials and absolutely no goblins.

[strike]It doesn't seem to have found its way to us luckily, and we're up to just under 40 dwarves, but sadly we lack a military as no-one is capable of doing that sort of stuff among the migrants.

Any suggestions for things people want done otherwise I'll just be finishing off the tomb and go into engraving mode!

Our fish-keeper is starting a mysterious construction!

One of the forgotten beasts is murdering the cats that were locked in the caverns with it! I hope it can't break doors, but seeing as it destroyed the magma forge. . . .

Thankfully it appears to be almost dead for some reason, lots of broken thoraxes.

Our novice military succeeded in murdering the giant hornet monster! Now we've just got to be careful of the vomit monster.

Never mind: Two ambushes just after the elves arrived, I'm thinking they must be in league with the goblins. . . . I've closed the bridge, leaving one of our new recruits stranded as about 10 goblins come towards him. . . .

One dead dwarf. At least when the elves want to go I can send them to fight the goblins.

Three Five ambushes. Sheeet.

Apparently a diplomat left unhappy, hope s/he enjoys leaving through the goblins!

Elves wanted to leave so I opened the gate and. . . the few remaining members of our milita ran out and got slaughtered and the elves did nothing. Closed the gate again.[/strike]

Game crashed! Not going to have time to finish the turn tonight and I think tomorrow is my deadline so I'm going to just pass this on to the next person, which I think is Ghostwolf?

Ghostwolf still doesn't have a PC to do this turn with, unless he's managed to find an old laptop...

I'm not sure I'm the man to pull this fort out of the shit.

I'd be happier rehoming us, if that'd work?

That might be better, two forgotten beasts in the caverns and at least 5 goblin ambushes by mid-summer does not bode well for the survivability of our people in this current location.

Little question for you Dorfers, are you using any custom tilesets with your game? or just the basic form?

If so, any you'd recommend?

got it now, looks very shiny, so much easier to identify trees and "omg that looks nasty" as opposed to, whys that ananomate capital letter stomping my smiley faces!?

I'll be bowing out if we go for another new fortress. Just doesn't seem to be enough interest to maintain one.

I think there's enough interest it's more people having time to do it; that and we just fail horribly at making the fortresses secure enough to develop beyond a couple of years.

Once im a bit more literate with the game i'd happily join the fort rotation.

Currently though im still working on the very basics. Haven't even got my dorfs any meat yet.

Though, one did bite the arm off a Trogladyte last night, so i guess that counts! (must get that man an axe)

Also not even dug deep enough to find magma yet!

I concur with Trax's statement that we're struggling on time, too.

I suggest we take a pause for a bit and come back to this.

I think the root problem is the number of players. People are expected to be busy occasionally, it's just hard to cope when there's only four of us playing.
