For those who are upstanding working and therefore don't get all their monies until the last week of the month, it makes sense to have the raffle roll on the 1st of Feb, thus allowing everyone to have that bit of a buffer. Unless DocBot has a major issue with this I think it's better to allow more people to join in the marvelous raffle.

Quoting T-Bone, but as a general thought for everyone, the donations actually support more than just the game servers. They keep Promethius running, which is the server that hosts all of:

• THN Games forum
• THN Hub site and other associated sites (e.g. TF2, EVE, CoD4, etc)
• All the game servers (e.g. TF2, L4D, CoD4, etc)
• THN Wiki
• TeamSpeak
• ... probably other stuff I've forgotten

Basically, the fact that you're reading this at all is powered by the said-same donations. No donations, no server.

So, again, thank you to all you who help keep this place running through your donations. We all appreciate it.

I've updated the list I compiled earlier to include the most recent promises, noting Iron Fist's to-be-confirmed offer and leaving that one to the side 'til confirmed.

Doing pretty well but we can always do a bit more, especially as server costs are ongoing. Currently got roughly €300 in the pool, of which €180 is going towards the server and €120 for the raffle prize(s?).

Maybe just me, but I'd be happy to see the prize(s) capped at say €100, with anything on top going to the server. It's still great for whoever gets it, and allows us to scrape together a little bit more for costs.

Last time I believe DocBot said that the winner of roll A got €60 to spend on a game of their choice at play.com and winner of roll B get €40 (it was enough for winner A to get possibly 2 new games, and winner B to get one new game).

I agree but I'll let the organisers call it one way or the other.

Certainly, the purpose is to keep our server funds buoyant and I feel that if there are two prizes then that's certainly a good encouragement to contribute to the raffle.

Yeah, once we decide that all who are going to contribute have announced their intent I'll post up some alternative prize configurations, and then everyone who's buying tickets get to vote on one.

Having sorted out my financial problems (clerical error on my part T_T) I am happy to say that I can pay for my tickets whenever I am called upon to do so and can throw the money wherever it needs to be thrown when I am told to!

According to my bank account I've sent £10 already this month based on the fact that I have set up a subscription twice - I would like to send in another tenner but will not be able to send that till at least the 30th January.

Sorry to not say more today have been busy.

People have already taken the initiative to start getting money in. After work tomorrow I'll make a list of those who's money is still outstanding and providing I can work out real names move from there. Assuming DocBot is still cool to do the draw some time in the next 7days as he is fairly busy. I'll let him post an exact time.

From the poll on raffle combos we are also going for one UBER prize of 70 Euros to one lucky bastard, I mean recipient.
