[desc]Night falls on the town of New Havensville. A pretty sunset on this crisp, Autumn day. The wind is slight; but enough to rustle the trees in the town's park around.

Everyone's cars are parked up for the night and nothing can be heard except for the faint rustle of the trees... Or can it?

For something sinister is happening this night, only to be revealed to the townspeople in the morning...[/desc]

It is now night. No discussion is to take place until morning, where I shall post to announce Morning and commence the game fo' real!

You will all shortly be receiving a PM containing details of your roles within the game.

Feel free to assign yourselves jobs, etc. (like you did in the last game) to spice things up a little!

[desc]Dawn rises on the town of New Havensville, on a crisp, fresh, morning. The town is normally all hustle and bustle the minute there is any light outside, but for some reason this day is different.

As the morning drags on, it there is a large gathering of people in the town's square and it soon becomes apparent what has occurred. The Mayor's son has been killed. Hanging naked from the statue in the middle of the town square is his body, dangling by his neck, swaying slightly in the breeze. Left underneath his body is the calling card of the well-known but hard to catch Mafioso style gang The Clubbers; a white rose with one petal coloured red.

Yet again, the police seem unable to do anything about crimes such as this, so now, totally fed up and left without any other option, the Mayor, midgert, decrees that the townspeople themselves must take the law into their own hands and find out who amongst them are members of The Clubbers...[/desc]

It is now morning on the first day of this game. By approximately 9pm on Tuesday you (the townspeople) must talk amongst yourselves and decide who you wish to remove from your township (lynch). Remember that for this day only you may vote as a whole to not lynch anyone. Remember to place your votes in the thread, listing the player's name in bold. You may change your mind as many times as you wish, your last vote before night-time falls will be the one that counts.

"There is nothing I can do for him anymore, reviving is not my business."

This is what Dragon, the local doctor, said when he packed up his bag, preparing to leave the scene and return to his office.
Many know him as a sarcastic person having a very black humor which may not be considered as an advantage for his job, but up to now he has never lost a patient, giving the best he can to help people in times of illness, mentally or physically.

When I saw the crowd, I knew what'd happened. It'd been a few months since the last trouble with The Clubbers, but one would be a fool to forget.

What could've prompted this attack? A warning, surely, but am I to believe that our good mayor has somehow fallen in with these gangsters? I suppose it's not important; right now our only hope is to protect ourselves. The police don't care, I've no doubt they're on the Clubber payroll themselves.

There's been many new faces here lately, too many to count, what with all the folks passing through looking for work in these hard times. Any number of them could've been a Clubber thug. But to get to the Mayor's son? Why, they'd have to be upstanding, trusted member's of the community. The same people who will be deciding what comes next for our little town. That's what worries me most about this whole ordeal...

I sat at my desk in the Daily World, readying myself to write an article for the chief on the murder of the Mayor's son. But something was playing in my mind, like a bird inside a cage that just wouldn't fit. BiG_D's externalisation of his inner thoughts had got me thinking.

If he was right, and a trustworthy member of the community had decided to use the Mayor's son as a human piñata, then we were all in for some rough times ahead. It could literally have been anyone...

"Crap", I said out loud, a little too forcefully, turning more than a few heads in my direction.

Well, I thought, let's try the old Jimmy down at the docks. If some thing's going in this town that ain't exactly above board, he sure as hell will know.

I can't believe that such a brilliant exceptional life has been so abruptly distinguished, I remember the look on his face just last week half way through my trumpet solo, he was so happy and so content. He loved jazz and will be sourly missed at the jazz club. I'm going to play a memorial tribute to his memory tonight.
Such a loss to the community, may we all remember him as I do a music loving man with so much to give. Let's not start accusing our good man the mayor in this time of hardship, it would be folly to divide in such a way in these pressing times.

And lo, death, reaper of sown semen, comes to us all.

Look upon poor Midge Minor, though he is now gone, be at peace, for He is with you always.

Join me, pious Priestly Piacular in memory of him.

As a service of interim mass I shall read from our Lord’s Holy Bible, starting with Genesis, as is apt in the situation, and quoting numerations for ease of reference my children.

1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 1:2 Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.
1:3 God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 1:4 God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness. 1:5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” There was evening and there was morning, one day.
1:6 God said, “Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” 1:7 God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. 1:8 God called the expanse “sky.” There was evening and there was morning, a second day.
1:9 God said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear;” and it was so. 1:10 God called the dry land “earth,” and the gathering together of the waters he called “seas.” God saw that it was good. 1:11 God said, “Let the earth yield grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with its seed in it, on the earth;” and it was so. 1:12 The earth yielded grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with its seed in it, after their kind; and God saw that it was good. 1:13 There was evening and there was morning, a third day.
1:14 God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of sky to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years; 1:15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of sky to give light on the earth;” and it was so. 1:16 God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He also made the stars. 1:17 God set them in the expanse of sky to give light to the earth, 1:18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. God saw that it was good. 1:19 There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
1:20 God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of sky.” 1:21 God created the large sea creatures, and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. God saw that it was good. 1:22 God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 1:23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
1:24 God said, “Let the earth produce living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind;” and it was so. 1:25 God made the animals of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. God saw that it was good.
1:26 God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 1:27 God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. 1:28 God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 1:29 God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food. 1:30 To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food;” and it was so.
1:31 God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

2:1 The heavens and the earth were finished, and all their vast array. 2:2 On the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 2:3 God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work which he had created and made.
2:4 This is the history of the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Yahweh God made the earth and the heavens. 2:5 No plant of the field was yet in the earth, and no herb of the field had yet sprung up; for Yahweh God had not caused it to rain on the earth. There was not a man to till the ground, 2:6 but a mist went up from the earth, and watered the whole surface of the ground. 2:7 Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 2:8 Yahweh God planted a garden eastward, in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed. 2:9 Out of the ground Yahweh God made every tree to grow that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the middle of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

May the Lord bless you.

Amen

Oh brother Piacular, why don't you come over to my place once in a while, it seems like you have some severe mental illness you deal with, either you visit me so I can engage further studies in your case or, I fear, harsher steps must be taken!

*Opens the door of his trailer, looks down, sees the morning paper*

"Blimey they're quick!" He says as he picks up the paper, an expression like puzzlement forming on his face. Though some would think it look'd more like the face of opportunity. As as everyone in the town well knew the stranger had only arrived in town 4 months prior and had yet to find a home.

He found him self thinking, “And if the poor boy had died in his home, perhaps there was some cheap housing with as a poor religious saps would put it ‘the feeling of death’ around it.” Perhaps now there was a use for the money under his mattress.

*Walks round to the front of the trailer and attaches his truck and mumbles* “Looks like I’m gonna need you two he says picking up what to someone in the distance would look very much like a pair of reading glasses”

Having been in the town for only 4 months he was aware that there would be much distrust towards him, an outside with no obvious background. He was sure though that the limp he had would at least prevent some of the townsfolk from shunning him, though he doubted the local priest would be so fooled.

And so it was that he got dressed, shaved, cleaned etc, and got in the truck and proceeded to move to a camp site closer to the town until he could find more permanent residence in these turbulent times.

<Much time passes>

*Sits in the local diner reading the paper*

People of havensville we must make a decision, We have decided to take matters into our own hands, and then we have done nothing about it!

As a course of this, I hearby cast

No Vote untill some more concrete evidence is done!
