Any more info on what size you were invisaging / orientation / hung banners / long wall banners / colours / sizes / color profiles... etc.

I'm not useless, elD is talking to his mate tomorrow.

I'm currently thinking about 3' - 6-8'. Pretty standard banner size. My plan is for it to either go on the outside wall between the two doors or 1/both inside walls.

Possibly should include the quote from the security guard at i41 'You guys are the loudest here by far' (?wording?)

I don't have a particular input on colour, free reign depending on what you had in mind. For me THN == THN Blue, but i know thats a personal favourite.

Colour profiles, will have to wait on any input from elD

Would that fit vertically in a door pane and act as a possible blind for where Ronin sat at i40 and where He Who Must Not Be Named sat at i41 where theres a blind missing?

When getting them properly printed, do they have any setup fees, or does it not cost extra to have different styles? Could have a THN blue one and a THN red / orange one (as per the current homepage)

I'm quite a fan of the orange and black.

Could we not just cheat and use Tets' banner, perhaps make it a little taller so all the silhouette are at the bottom and have text and randomness at the top. Or make the silhouettes littler and then do the same with more text. That would certainly work for me.

I vaguely remember the guys in the box next to ours had something like that in theirs..... if i recall correctly.... hm.

can always come up with a few diff designs anyway and see whats best.

Any ideas of cost yet?

Also just to point out, thats their 2009 price list and : "All prices are subject to VAT at 15%". So you need to add delivery and 20% on top of that if those prices are still the same.

For a horizontal one something like 2 ft by 8 ft would do I'd say for the 2 internal walls. Not sure how much height you can get away with above monitors / heads to be visible. Mebbe 2ft6 tall?

I'm thinking 2ft6 * 6ft as a rough guidelines.

El Diablo seems to have failed at any pricing info, but the banner people suggest 300dpi on http://www.monsterbanners.co.uk/guidelines_files.html

If we're talking around £70 for 2 I have no issue with getting these... but we need the art work first!

Someone go wake up tets!

Note, I have emailed the people above for a quote, so I'll shout when they get back...

I was given a quote of £80 for 2ft6 by 8ft by a local company here. bit too much from there I think! They however were happy with 150dpi

I think I slightly misread the initial page, It suggests 300dpi but goes on to caveat the image must be at least 12.5% initial size. So if you're processing actual size it's considerably less DPI.

Work @ 100-150dpi for the moment?

I honestly do wonder about some companies who just ignore requests for business. If you dont have time to do the work, it would be nice to at least get a reply of "We're a bit too busy at the moment, so wont be able to help you".

Oh well!

I'm going to try and play around with some ideas today

So, got the quote back, £80 including vat and delivery to stevenage for 2* 2ft6 by 6ft banners.

Get designing people!
