Nice one there mr wol. I reckon if you could find another equally bright pic like the heavy for the other side to balance it then it'd be awesome.

the heavy looks kinda out of place being so "cel" shaded, but out of the main ones, tf2 does seem to be the brightest / most colourful. Hue shifting / colorising it makes it all too blue, so I dunno.
I'd suggest you either blend it all together by making a layer on top of everything that is a dark blue or brown and set it to soft light or overlay, and this should help blend everything in a bit more. Either that or add some Gradient maps.

I like that one, Wol! Especially the version bloke preferred, but maybe try giving the SAS guy a blue outer glow to make him stand out more, cos he's a bit hidden there (doing what the SAS do best I suppose).

I have to say, that is pretty awesome.
All the one's in the thread so far are EXCELLENT (and well beyond anything I could have done), but that one, as bloke said, is "teh sex".
Edit - At Macca. It's nice (especially as I am one of the first names
) but what if more people come join the community?

I have to agree that the contributions in the thread have been awesome (far eclipsing my own I think! ) and I really like the last two there by Tetsuo... I suppose elD's pointed out the main problem with banner #2 - particularly that of new community members... I can just see the obvious question "why am I not on the banner?" being asked. Having said that, as a proof of concept it's pretty neat, and it can of course be pointed out that it is a "snapshot" of THN members

Yeah, that thought did cross my mind and its part of the reason why I wanted to use the third one more. Plus, there are already folks missing from it - and it pertains to the hub rather than the games page, so it loses relevance.

I like the one with the names on, but might possibly be a bit too "fussy". "Water bob proof". heh.
The one without the names on is nice though. Id possibly do the background as more of a gradient, rather than a single block colour. Looks nice though

It was actually taken from a sunset picture, but the dimensions didnt allow me to demonstrate that too well, if you look closely it gradually gets more yellow as you move to the the right hand side of the picture. Maybe if I could find a better picture, with the sun centered behind the tree, itd look smashing.
Oh, and yeah that looks a lot better now

It's still a really nice idea though Tetsuo. It just goes to show that the simple banners can be the best
. It gets my vote anyway Tets .
I've updated my list to reflect the recent changes and additions. Again, please can the artists check and confirm that I've got the right images. Currently only relevant to Tetsuo, but if you make more than three submissions please let me know exactly which three you want to submit.

Seems a bit mean, I say let them vote and just don't let them vote for their own, as they are all valued members of the community seems a bit off that they shouldn't be able to vote especially as they have gone to the effort of contributing. I would but I have no artist/photoshopping abilities to speak of.
