I'll be finishing reading the book in probably one sitting on my 24 hour flight to Australia this saturday and sunday. I'm enjoying it so far though I will say the way Mieville writes spoken language both confuses and annoys me. I find myself re-reading them, bewildered, time and again. They seem impossible for me to decipher easily or acclimatise to even though i'm now over half way. An unusual hang up for me I have to say.

I've been dead from the neck up for the past 10 days but I think I'll finally start reading it this week.

Finished the book. Enjoyed it for the most part. Wrote my review. I'd advise not reading it though till you finish it yourself. tainted opinions and all that.

Hey guys whats going on in the world of books, also within that sphere the reading of them?

Any thoughts on pandas choice? View points, perspectives that sort of thing? I mean isnt that whats supposed to happen... I dont know i'm a bit new at this.

I'm halfway through the City and the City finding it a really difficult read.

If it becomes time to move onto the next book, more than happy for that :p

Its kinda difficult to comment on a book without introducing a bunch of spoilers ufortunately. Given we're all reading at very different rates I was holding off on discussion until a decent proportion of others had caught up.

Happy to discuss any time before the book becomes a distant memory :)

Be nice to gauge how long it each takes us to adjust the times we set. I mean I wouldnt even have finished it yet if not for the 24 hour flight. I watched true grit twice.
