Just out of interest, I wondered if it was even possible to get two teams of five THNers on either side of a DOTA2 match. I know that there's a fair few people playing, on and off, but I also think we're all at very different skill levels. So, a quick roll call. Answers in the poll above.

I started the game one time and got scared off by the menu.

I couldn't even work out how to resize it to fit my screen, let alone anything else, and decided I couldn't be arsed.

I can get either/both of you through that if you'd like.

I seem to remember Panda's issue was that he couldn't zoom out when in game. That's correct, you can't zoom out. Everyone's locked to the same tight-in view. Zoomed out wouldn't make any sense for the way the game is.

Nah, I couldn't even find my way into a game.

I don't really feel I have the interest at this point, to paraphrase a recent film: 'It had my curiosity, but never captured my attention'

I think you may have given in too quickly, but your call really. Shout if you change your mind.

I'm sure that's the case, having not actually played the game, but there's a lot of other stuff to do, and the constant reminders all over everywhere about the community's toxicity, as well as the general lack of appeal in the game style itself tends to overwrite any interest I had in it as a 'deep' game.

I'm hoping to circumvent a bit of that if we can find enough active and interested THNers. At least if your own team is sound it easy enough to just ignore the other team's chat (and, of course, you don't get them on in-game voice whilst mid-game).

That said, from the smallish number of games I've played, I've only really had one offensive idiot, though there have been two or three mid-game drops.

I'm interested, and I know Ghostwolf would be. Only played bots but I really enjoy the game :D

Yeah, I figure that we can probably get Ghostwolf and Trax in here, and Nanor if he's not already too pr0 for us.

I remember that Zeejin plays too, though he's probably in the not-a-n00b camp.

I'm definitely interested. Play fairly often, well in spats tbh, I'll hammer it every day solid for a couple of weeks then have a couple of bad games and not play for a month. I'm not a noob but I'm also not pro either. Had a few games with pro players and that REALLY schools you in the difference the skill level makes.

Hey Dusk. Figured you might show up. :)

I think you'll probably be schoolin' us with what you know (pro or not), but if you're okay with that then I think we can work it out.

That's pretty encouraging so far. No word from Trax, though he might be convinced to play. If DocBot can get some time, he might play too.

I've done a couple (~5) of games against people and a few more against bots, so while I understand some of the differences between DOTA and LoL, I still definitely consider myself a newbie.

If we pick a suitable time, I'd like to play a game with you guys :)

Probably too many to list. That said, I've never played LoL; I've only got time for one insanely hard game.

@Ange: you're of course welcome to join us. I'll badger people I see on Steam next time I'm getting a group together. I play a few solo vs bots to get a sense for a new character (protip: Invoker is insanely hard to play, just don't) but I've had some success getting Ghostwolf and Trax playing around 21:00 UK time some days.

I'm defo interested in this although at the moment my computer is out of action again :) but stick me down for future engagements.....

Dunno if any of you has ever used Twitch at all, but watching pro games on that with someone like Tobi Wan is worth a look at :)

Gives you an idea of what goes on and what can go on in a game and watching a good pairing of wisp and chaos knight is INSANE! :)
