I believe that the matches are done any time in a 7 day period, currently running from Sunday evening at around 21:00. When the "week 2" period starts, you can start to play your week 2 matches (and, correspondingly, the week 1 matches are all closed/done).

I think what kat was getting at Ronin, was if everyone plays their games before the 7 day period is up, does that make week 2 start early, or do we have to wait until the 168hour timer finishes?

Once all the matches are played there is a little button i can click that says 'end week 1'. I assume that at 21:00 on sunday the next week will start regardless of match completion but if all matches are done early i could theoretically start the next week at any point.
