Infuriating, that (for me, also, because it means I won't have it today either), but I try not to let it get to me. I sympathise in some ways, I doubt Play would let down their customers deliberately; it was just unlucky for us that the release date was two days after a weekend. If they'd posted on Saturday, chances are it'd have been delivered on Monday (early). Their only option was to post yesterday or face the wrath of Take 2, which probably wasn't an attractive choice.
Even if it does arrive late, I'm not going to let one or two days of missed playtime upset me since, well, it is only one or two days of play time. Although I'm disappointed that it hasn't arrived today, you have to ask yourself - what is the tangible benefit of getting it 24 hours earlier? Are you even going to care in a week's time once you have it in your hands? Is it going to affect your enjoyment of the game all that much? With those thoughts, I manage to restrain myself from smashing the nearest window
I dont have the game and i don't have it pre-ordered.
While getting the game late will most likely NOT affect your enjoyment of the game, the simple fact is that people have made time on the day that this game was supposed to have been released so that they could play the game (thereby enjoying it). That free time has now been wasted due to the ineptitude of a number of large internet-based companies due to the fact that they hall all broken their promise to have the games delivered to the customers ON THE DAY IT WAS RELEASED.
I do not like having my time wasted by idiotic companies and their stupid policies. Common sense, yet again loses out to the desire for money.
So WHAT if some people happen to get the game a day early? Is it really that bad???
The reason the game is out on a Tuesday here is because I believe that it is a simultaneous worldwide release - and although here Game Releases are typically on a Friday, in America they are normally on a tuesday.
Hence the Tuesday release date.
