Whole point of a wiki is to move away from needing one person to update a post and also removes the problem of redundant data

Have we spoken to the dr-ukr lot then about getting a chunk of 12 ids then? Or possibly less than 12 if we still think other friends of thners are likely to want to come?

had a chat with speedy last night, says they have 12 confirmed with potentially a couple more slackers to come too.

That puts us, with the potential THNers, with too many people :/

The new clanboxes sound great and all, but they also sound quite isolated. As in we may as well just have our own private LAN if we really want to distance ourselves from everyone like that. Or is that just me..

well so far we don't know where, precisely, they are going to be, nor where they will be in relation to the main halls or anything like that, or any other details really.

as long as it's no more than the distance between, say, B3 and the Grandstand, I personally don't see an issue, but that's just me :)

Even without knowing the specifics one can assume we'd not be where the main hall is (by looking at the building layout) thus immediately seperated from 90% of the other gamers. In newbury we were always sat near other gamers, and could fire nerf guns down at them. So it didn't feel like we were too detatched.

Can echo this detached feeling but short of not finding the numbers or they increase the cost of the ticket is the only way we're not getting the clanbox I can see. Too many people enjoy the boxyness. Personally don't care either way.

Distance from box @ telford to exhibition @ telford will be less than from level 3 berkshire to grandstand.

At newbury, you were isolated from 90% of gamers. 60 / 70% were in the tf2 tent / grandstand. Depends whether you class yourself as isolated from other boxes at b3 or B1 at newbury or not

Of course silk: no box = no drumming @ rock band

I also like the fact you can regulate how bright it is in a box. I like the fact that during the day you get sunlight. Sitting in a darkened room for hours on end is horrible. I've done it enough times at uni in the theatre and its not nice. Would much prefer to be in a box which gets some light in during the day, and then isnt pitch black at night like B0 is.

I dont think these are any more detached than being on b3, but then I consider not being by the main hall a positive :)

I'd say theyre definitely closer to people than you were at newbury

Have updated the list of people to be a list of names. http://wiki.thehavennet.org.uk/index.php/I43_Attendees

Currently have 30 names, assuming everyone gets off their ass and gets a ticket.

Might have to do a "find a group of 4 randoms to join with" at some point.

We do also have to consider how much more a clanbox will cost, and if people are willing to pay the price of a burger for it or not.

Whichever way, box or no box, getting more people coming isnt a bad thing :D
