Yea this came out last week.

Not good tbh.

Would rather it was all in and working rather than them getting it out on time...

/me shudders at the potential bugs

However I would still rather that stuff worked rather than having to be removed.

I think that's exactly what they're working on ensuring by cutting features. They're only bringing to release stuff that's worthwhile. Happens all the time. The only unusual thing here is the way the games industry works in giving long lists of features quite early in a project's life when the project is still in a state of high risk. I really believe this kind of trimming down can only be a good thing for the game if they use it to create greater depth and stability in other areas.

I don't see the cutting down being a major issue, as far as I can tell the game's absoloutely packed with content justnow. I preorderd the collector's edition of the game which lets you play the open beta when it's out, so for any of you thinking about getting the game, I'll try post up a descriptive analysis of the beta :). Should be out for atleast another month yet though.

Eurogamer have had a hands on, and they seem to be quite impressed.

The Tome of Knowledge - Mythic's brilliant combination of quest log, achievement system and encyclopaedia - is a joy to behold and navigate.

Months from release, Warhammer Online can already confidently stand alongside WOW and LOTRO in an MMO beauty pageant, and impress the judges with its grace and deportment. But what is there that sets it apart?

That's easy. In fact, after a scant three levels and thirty minutes of play, it's blindingly obvious. It's public quests.

There is also, sad to say, still some clunkiness to the combat, although such a low-level character is hardly a fair representation. It takes a little adjusting to the shift in balance to an extremely slow, weak auto-attack, and hammering away at fast-recharging basic attack skills; the rhythm and tactile feedback still feel a little off.

Eurogamer said:
These men mean business, and their game is coming together beautifully. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a contender.

Autumn 2008, according to Eurogamer. Q4 2008, according to Gamespot. 30th March 2009, according to Amazon.co.uk. Not a lot of agreement yet.

I had to go into HMV to pre-order it because Play was sold out, Anyway the date I was given to go in and pick it up was the 12th of September. Now I'm assuming that that's the full game, as I'm pretty sure you just download the beta using the beta codes you were given.

The System Requirments have just been realeased: System Requirments

Nothing of major concern for most people. Although It does say it will need at least 15 GB of Hard Disk space :O. We've come along way from when you could fit a game on a 1.44 MB Floppy :).

I'm really looking forward to this actually but I'm still holding some reserve, after all, AoC was dung.

Eurogamer were fairly reserved about AoC on the run up to release, though they gave the game the benefit of the doubt on the theory that good content in the pipeline could be the saviour of the game. No idea whether that stuff turned up. They're more enthusiastic about WAR, which given their fairly (though a little unevenly) cynical journalism I take to be a good sign.

Personally, I'm keeping an eye on this one because I think it'd be a game that Rojaws and I might play together. I'm concerned about the minimum specs, though, as Rojaws' machine is at least two generations out of date and I've not really got any spare cash for an upgrade.

It was THIRTY GIGS? What the SHIT! Do they store all the content as bitmaps and wavs?

I was tempted to buy it, but I only have a 110GB hard drive and the specs on the box say that 32GB of HDD space is needed. Only having 20GB of 110 free caused them to lose a sale :)
