23.85 I don't think I'll be joining you guys :)

I'm 23.88, but that's still pretty close to the line, IMO. I'm already doing THINGS to get healthier and give me some muscles, so meh.

I'll post my thingy when I go upstairs to get my uniform. Can't say I'm looking forward to seeing it though.

I think it´s quite safely in the NORMAL zone :) At 182/79 I dont think I´m particularly at risk of developing obesity. Of course I´m trying to stay fit, excercise, run, swim and play tennis/squash from time to time, and losing say 4 kg wouldnt be bad, but I dont think its anything to go into a challenge mode about :) Plus, I do have a reasonable amount of muscles - pretty much the reason for no longer having 71 like I used to ;)

I come out about 26.88 at the moment... but was down to 26.13 at my best.

Main thing is to find a sporting activity you enjoy.... For me it's badminton and cycling. But not done much over the winter :D

Another trick is to just downgrade stuff.... like mcoys to walkers, or walkers to quavers sort of thing. Rather than not having stuff.

Stick me down as a sponsor, and good luck guys!

My issue is not so much a sporting activity I enjoy, it's more a sporting activity that doesn't try and kill me. I ended school at 18 just about still able to play badminton. I'm pretty good as well. Need someone to play with is the slightly tricky part as well.

I wasn't too bad at badminton when I was at school. Was one of the few sports where I didnt suck! lol.

I played badminton 3 times a week from the age of 14 onwards. Had to stop when I went to uni due to moving away and not being able to fit in the club times around Uni... which was annoying as I was GOOD.

I have £150 of badminton racket sat in my room doing generally bugger all and then having dodgy legs really doesn't help with my playing badminton either :(

OK as we aren't that far apart would Wol and bloke perhaps be interested in finding a club or place or whatever where we can meet up and play. Even if it is once a week it is more than I'm currently doing. Shout if you are interested, nothing serious. My knees are bad even by my standards so would be a relatively gentle game :p. If you are then we can investigate places that work for everyone.

I could go for some 2vs1 against you two, but I would only be able to play for like 20 mins (if that) before I'd have to stop due to my legs

The reason I found badminton to be good compared to say a gym is the competitive side of it.
I am noot uber competitive but the fact you are aiming for a goal (Say compared to swimming/gymming etc) makes it more fun and keeps you going :)

I only play once a week but it all helps :)

Which BMI calculator are we using by the way? As there are quite a few on the internet, and worryingly tend to give different results. . . .

Mine is apparently 27.22 at the moment! According to the NHS at any rate.
