Well, I should lose some weight soon as when term starts again I get to walk around campus loads and have periods where I don't have the time to go home but enough of a gap where I should do *something* so some more intensive walking will probably be my method, might also get back into doing push-ups in the morning and evening, need to practice those anyway!

I mean you eat more then me generally. :p Over a week period I'll have 1 proper meal, the rest of the time I eat tiny amounts for meals (Lik a bit of bread or somthing)

I bet you eat more cals a day than me (1,300). Little bits add up. bread is actually pretty bad if you eat too much.

I have two medium meals a day and I snack on fruit.

Also, eating one proper meal a week means you aren't eating right at all.

No time. When you only get one night a week off, your forced to eat the crap in coops. Half of which I dont eat.

Could I suggest you use body fat percentage instead of or as well as BMI? Its a much more accurate way of measuring how much fat you've lost, especially if you're naturally heavier or have a muscular structure underneath the wobblier bits (e.g. if you're me) :)

Count me in for this, I'm joining the gym anyway so its yet another incentive for me, and you can't get enough of these!!!

body fat percentage is slightly more tricky to calculate though I'd have said.

And I'm fairly sure that most of us are just fat, rather than muscley :p

I have a set of scales that calculates it by passing a small electric current through you but I'm not sure how much I trust that seeing as I have a Titanium plate in my right leg.

Stab yourself in the belly - if it's mainly semi clear/ yellow gunk you are very fat, otherwise you will bleed to death.

fuuuucking hell, my BMI is 16.99 (and that's including the weight of the heavy jeans and hoodie I have on just now). The arrow is literally perched on the bottom of the scale. I suppose I eat healthily enough, at least in a moderately sensible fashion, but I don't really do any exercise. Nothing cardiovascular, anyway. Maybe I should join in, but change it so I put money in when I gain weight.
