body fat percentage is slightly more tricky to calculate though I'd have said.

And I'm fairly sure that most of us are just fat, rather than muscley :p

It's pretty easy really, all you need is a tape measure and THIS website. :)

Be awesome to have a 4th :D

Would also be good to have more of us getting involved as it greatly increases the chances of it happening.

Ugh. Just went into town to look for a badminton racket and a few other things.

Jesus Christ lads, the cheapest decent one I could find was £60. For that @%&ing price it better make me play like the Roger Federer of the badminton world, and look like Brad Pitt to boot.

I'll be digging around and trying to find my old one in Reading I think.

if I head back to my Parent's place anytime soon I should have a spare racket there, not quite as good as my current one but still did me proud for a couple of years (and still weighs < 100g without grip/strings)

Having spent the weekend with Wol and Bacon now up for this. Badminton wise, Wol needs some trainers and I need some shorts. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what sort of advanced notice we'd need to give to get a slot.

I'm having a look (well pidge is) for trainers atm. sportsdirect (one in west quay) has some in my size under their "badminton shoes" section for a relatively cheap price.

http://www.sportsdirect.com/badminton/badminton-shoes - £17.49 doesnt sound bad!

They also have a range of rackets too as silky says, so will try and pop into there some time after work this week and grab one.

Do we need shuttlecocks at all, or am i right in guessing that people already have em?

You need to make sure that your trainers/playing shoes are non-marking! Otherwise you'll be leaving black marks all over the floor and you'll have some rather pissed off cleaning staff...

I don't have any shuttles atm but if you guys are going to get some then make sure they are the Yonex Mavis 300's

I've been thinking about it, and I've decided that if you'd let me play opposites (i.e. weight gain) then I'd be willing to put pen to paper and sign up for this. Obviously that's a slightly catchy thing with regards to the latex prize, so I'm happy to be exempt from that and just contribute towards the charity giving (and my own well-being).

There's a bloke in my lab at work who does a hell of a lot of active stuff, so I've asked him to help keep me on the right track and shout useful phrases like 'feel the burn!' and 'no pain, no gain!'.

Well the ones I'll probably get are: http://www.sportsdirect.com/hitec-squash-classic-trainers-mens-176001 - as theyre one of the few that are done in my size. Should be okay.

And http://www.sportsdirect.com/yonex-mavis-300-badminton-cork-base-shuttlecocks-771013?colcode=77101313 < Those are the shuttles you want I'm guessing? If you let me know yellow or white I can pick some up tomorrow as well if theyve got em in stock.
