Everyone overlooks that no game is balanced. If it was levelling up would be largely pointless exercise.
Trusting games devs to balance (Relic) gave us CoH... and that is some interesting balance. It's hard to balance when people at the ELITE end of the skill bell curve totally abuse the awesome.

Basically, we have an impasse - as with any modern FPS there are so many options and playstyles that its impossible to come to a consensus as to which rules-sets are best.
I personally like our server rules - nothing is outright banned, but excessive usage of stuff gives warnings. Which makes sense, because the point of a squad based shooter is working with team-mates and being adaptable.
