I feel we should not so quickly forget the ideas of Sheriff Twisto, He suggested that Ronin and Big_D were in cohorts and I'm inclined to believe him. Ronin has gone after our owbn Doctor Dragon, i feel this is rash as he has done little to deserve such treatment. I think Ronin is using his guiding influence to try to persuade those innocent to aid him and Big_D in his cause to wipe out us innocent in this time. Be careful friends don't forget so soon the words of our good sheriff, as he has come after me this eve, I have no choice but to cast my vote against Big_D. Look thro his words fair folk. Both Ronin and Big_D are making great dashing assumptions which are well and good, but what if it in fact they who are the clubbers. Think on my words don't be so easily bought by this business man's charm.

Dragon as well. His mannerisms confused and perplex me, and lead me to believe he is playing a part in these cruel crimes.

Citizens of this glorious town. I salute you for your grit and determination to rid this community of all that is wrong and unjust. May you long continue this fight, but alas, I fear it will be fought without me.

My name is marked by the clubbers for death this very night.

Before I depart this world, I leave you with words that I hope you can take some small comfort from. Big D + Ronin Storm are not as innocent as they make out to be. Do not trust these people.

OK. I must go now, its getting dark out there. And remember.. be careful out there.

The Sheriff has left the building.

It is now night.

[desc]The town, it seems, is for the large part in consensus... Dragon, the town's doctor, must be eliminated from the town!

Being a doctor and knowing about the human body, he resigns himself to the knowledge that no amount of talking is now going to save him, and so requests a quick death at the hands of the townspeople. Feeling somewhat sorry (and perhaps a little guilty) for him, it is agreed that a single shot to the head with a pistol will be the preferred method.

Leading him out into the town square for all to see, hands bound behind his back, Dragon is blindfolded and then propped up against the gallows erected for earlier "sentences."

Then, almost as quickly as this whole thing had begun, Sheriff Twisto walks up and delivers the killing blow from Dragon's left side, a spatter of blood exploding from the right side of his head. His limp form crumples to the ground and the townspeople are left to think on their next action to take...[/desc]

[desc]As the townspeople once more begin to gather at the Town Hall for more deliberations on what to do next, the gruesome scene in the town square unfolds.

For beneath the gallows, where two executions have already taken place, a third has now taken place. The limp form of Sephiroth, covered in blood, holding his abdomen area is now plain to see. He is very white, which is understandable looking at the massive red stain on the ground all around him.

Apparently he had been left there overnight and found by police officer on his dawn patrol; He had a sack over his head, bound round his neck, and his legs had also been bound. A clean cut across his abdomen area had quite literally sent everything inside him spilling out onto the floor around him. The police officer did manage to get some last words out of Sephiroth before he died, which can be repeated should the need arise...[/desc]

Sephiroth, the butcher, is now dead. His last words can be made if he so chooses in a post by him.

It is now Morning. Night will commence at around 9pm(ish) on Wednesday 26th Sept.

[desc]He felt sure he knew the outcome of the previous night. Sheriff Twisto revealed himself and, in doing so, made himself the prime target... or so one might have thought. So why this odd turn?

However, the more one thinks about it the more that might become plain. Indeed, there are two probably causes for this overnight strike.

First and foremost, it may be as random as can be, sowing further confusion; if left and right both seem the same then the Mafia stand a greater chance of survival.

Second, though, and probably more disturbing is that it may be a deliberate attempt to leave antagonists in play. Sheriff Twisto and Musician Waterproofbob versus Guild Master Ronin Storm and Citizen Big D. That leaves Journalist elDiablo and Citizen VibroAxe choosing where to place their support. This could be a case of levering divisions in the community of New Havensville, getting innocents to take sides against each other while the Mafia celebrate...

Assume, for a moment, that VibroAxe sides with Twisto; a fair assumption given the Sheriff's fortuitous rescue. Assume also that nothing yet sways Twisto and that he targets Big D again. It's safe to assume that Waterproofbob will back that play, given his mongering the previous night. Even if, somehow, Big D, Ronin Storm and elDiablo were to choose someone else it would result in loggerheads, decided by the flip of a coin.

This would seem to work in the favour of the Mafia, working on the assumption that Big D is in fact innocent.

The Guild Master pauses. Is he innocent, Citizen Big D? Where Doctor Dragon had a feeling of wrongness, somehow Citizen Big D leaves a sense of rightness. No proof to be had, gut instinct will have to sway this. Let's assume his innocence.

Twisto and VibroAxe are innocent, that is plain. The town can hope that Traxata and Dragon were truly Mafia members. If that is true, then one remains. It cannot be true that three are still standing for they would have revealed themselves and attempted a violent and open takeover. So, two or one.

If one, it seems likely to be Musician Waterproofbob. If two, then the apparently innocent elDiablo would seem to be implicated though it may be that Big D is yet playing the town as fools.

Worse, if it is truly two that remains then should the town choose wrong tonight then it will be all over in the morning; two innocent deaths will bring their numbers even with the townsfolk.

It may be early light, blood still fresh on the pavement. It makes no odds. Whichever scenario, Musician Waterproofbob seems likely to be guilty. Time to make a final stand.[/desc]

I stand again accused by a business man so deft at persuasion that throughout these troubled times he has never been suspected except by our fine law enforcement officer. Ronin convincing you other poor innocents that our fine Doctor should be killed and once again Big_D coming after me to tarnish my reputation. Ronin claiming to be away on that first fateful night, your not being here in body doesn't stop your ability to command your troops from afar sir.
I say that Ronin is mincing words to make himself appear innocent, yet I believe that our sheriff hit the nail on the head nights ago. Ronin seems convinced that Trax was a mafiosi and has said so on numerous occasions, I put it to you that the reason for his certainty is that he is one as well.
Beware his sweet tongue friends, we must hold together and kill Ronin or Big_D the towns survival depends on it.

[desc]Butcher Sephiroth's words frustrate the Guild Master. Perhaps the rising tensions begin to fray his nerves, the constant threat of Mafia assassination.

Exasperated, he entreats, "If I am so guilty then my reasoning, the logic I have provided to you must somewhere be faulty. Some clue to my guilt would be found in bad reasoning, omitted information, twisting of the truth. If I am to be so vilified then damn well say where you think I am so wrong. I will not stand for such unjustified slander without justification. Butcher Sephiroth's last words do not seem to connect to anything he said in life, seem in fact to be accusations based on random allocation of guilt more than any rationale. So, before you act I ask that you think and speak you reasons aloud, and make them good because I'm watching your words and analysing your reasons and ready to respond to anything you can bring to bear."

With that he falls into an uneasy silence, waiting for the township to speak their minds.[/desc]

Reading from Exodus quoting numerations for ease of reference.

Exodus
1:1 Now these are the names of the sons of Israel, who came into Egypt (every man and his household came with Jacob): 1:2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, 1:3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, 1:4 Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher. 1:5 All the souls who came out of Jacob’s body were seventy souls, and Joseph was in Egypt already. 1:6 Joseph died, as did all his brothers, and all that generation. 1:7 The children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them.

1:8 Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who didn’t know Joseph. 1:9 He said to his people, “Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we. 1:10 Come, let us deal wisely with them, lest they multiply, and it happen that when any war breaks out, they also join themselves to our enemies, and fight against us, and escape out of the land.” 1:11 Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. They built storage cities for Pharaoh: Pithom and Raamses. 1:12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread out. They were grieved because of the children of Israel. 1:13 The Egyptians ruthlessly made the children of Israel serve, 1:14 and they made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and in brick, and in all kinds of service in the field, all their service, in which they ruthlessly made them serve.

1:15 The king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah, 1:16 and he said, “When you perform the duty of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them on the birth stool; if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live.” 1:17 But the midwives feared God, and didn’t do what the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the baby boys alive. 1:18 The king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said to them, “Why have you done this thing, and have saved the boys alive?”

1:19 The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women aren’t like the Egyptian women; for they are vigorous, and give birth before the midwife comes to them.”

1:20 God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied, and grew very mighty. 1:21 It happened, because the midwives feared God, that he gave them families. 1:22 Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, “You shall cast every son who is born into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive.”

2:1 A man of the house of Levi went and took a daughter of Levi as his wife. 2:2 The woman conceived, and bore a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him three months. 2:3 When she could no longer hide him, she took a papyrus basket for him, and coated it with tar and with pitch. She put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river’s bank. 2:4 His sister stood far off, to see what would be done to him. 2:5 Pharaoh’s daughter came down to bathe at the river. Her maidens walked along by the riverside. She saw the basket among the reeds, and sent her handmaid to get it. 2:6 She opened it, and saw the child, and behold, the baby cried. She had compassion on him, and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”

2:7 Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, “Should I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?”

2:8 Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Go.”

The maiden went and called the child’s mother. 2:9 Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child away, and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages.”

The woman took the child, and nursed it. 2:10 The child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. She named him Moses, and said, “Because I drew him out of the water.”

2:11 It happened in those days, when Moses had grown up, that he went out to his brothers, and looked at their burdens. He saw an Egyptian striking a Hebrew, one of his brothers. 2:12 He looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no one, he killed the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

2:13 He went out the second day, and behold, two men of the Hebrews were fighting with each other. He said to him who did the wrong, “Why do you strike your fellow?”

2:14 He said, “Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you plan to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian?”

Moses was afraid, and said, “Surely this thing is known.” 2:15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and lived in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well.

2:16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. They came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock. 2:17 The shepherds came and drove them away; but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock. 2:18 When they came to Reuel, their father, he said, “How is it that you have returned so early today?”

2:19 They said, “An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and moreover he drew water for us, and watered the flock.”

2:20 He said to his daughters, “Where is he? Why is it that you have left the man? Call him, that he may eat bread.”

2:21 Moses was content to dwell with the man. He gave Moses Zipporah, his daughter. 2:22 She bore a son, and he named him Gershom, for he said, “I have lived as a foreigner in a foreign land.”

2:23 It happened in the course of those many days, that the king of Egypt died, and the children of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. 2:24 God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 2:25 God saw the children of Israel, and God was concerned about them.

3:1 Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God’s mountain, to Horeb. 3:2 The angel of Yahweh appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3:3 Moses said, “I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.”

3:4 When Yahweh saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, “Moses! Moses!”

He said, “Here I am.”

3:5 He said, “Don’t come close. Take your sandals off of your feet, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.” 3:6 Moreover he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.”

Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look at God.

3:7 Yahweh said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. 3:8 I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. 3:9 Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. 3:10 Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

3:11 Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

3:12 He said, “Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

3:13 Moses said to God, “Behold, when I come to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you;’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ What should I tell them?”

3:14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM,” and he said, “You shall tell the children of Israel this: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” 3:15 God said moreover to Moses, “You shall tell the children of Israel this, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations. 3:16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and tell them, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, “I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt; 3:17 and I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’ 3:18 They will listen to your voice, and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you shall tell him, ‘Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh, our God.’ 3:19 I know that the king of Egypt won’t give you permission to go, no, not by a mighty hand. 3:20 I will reach out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in its midst, and after that he will let you go. 3:21 I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, and it will happen that when you go, you shall not go empty-handed. 3:22 But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, and of her who visits her house, jewels of silver, jewels of gold, and clothing; and you shall put them on your sons, and on your daughters. You shall plunder the Egyptians.”

AMEN.

We were closing in on the end. As our Guild Master had detailed, there was every possibility that the upcoming bloodshed would end with mafia control of our town. Moreover, there was a very real possibility the town would decide to turn on me. Besides questioning the sanity of our sheriff, the man who appeared to be "leading" the crusade, there was little I could do to prove my own innocence.

But, with the facts that had surfaced that day, I confirmed my suspicions. There was one man whose every vote had targeted someone I knew to be innocent: Sephiroth, Twisto, and now myself. Waterproofbob was a menace, plain and simple.

Big_D claims that I have attacked the innocent with some violent intent, this couldn't be further from the truth, look back for a minute and consider the 3 ppl that Big_D has suggested I have been targeting, on the first evening I merely voted with Piacular (may he rest in peace) as you sir first initiated a vote against me. As I said at the time I believe by doing so I was saving myself, due t the no vote I did not know this was unnecessary and altho that may make me weak it certainly doesn't make me evil. Secondly my attack on Twisto was not as you make it out to seem, I was merely trying to protect our clearly insane minister (may he rest in peace) had anyone else initiated the vote against him my vote would have been different. As for yourself sir, I believe you have shown through your continual attack on my character that it is you not me that has almost at random been picking on innocent targets.

I shall join Vibroaxe on his quest to rid this, our home, of the evil doers that are plaguing our city with bloodshed. The headlines will read, "Evil has been defeated!" tomorrow morning.

BiG_D, it makes me sad to think that you are among those who wish to destroy our lives...

As elD says we must stay together and vote to lynch Big_D, with that mafiosi dead we may still stand a chance. let us hope that Twisto is also able to defend another innocent as he has so successfully thus far, to avoid as far as possible any more damage.

It is now night.

[desc]Dusk begins to descend and the few townspeople who are left have, although not necessarily unanimously, that BiG_D must be eradicated from their town if it is to survive. Believing that the people are making a grave error, Ronin Storm turns away as elDiablo, waterproofbob and VibroAxe turn on BiG_D.

"You are charged with being a member of the town's mafia, can you prove otherwise?" intones VibroAxe.

"My evidence and reasoning has already been provided. I shall not repeat those again for I feel they will be ignored anyway. You have made a grave error!!!"

"We do not believe so..." reply the three.

Twisto seems to have gone AWOL tonight, perhaps this indecisiveness will prove costly?

BiG_D offers little resistance, for he knows that his efforts will remain futile. Requesting that his death be quick, the three accusers agree and from within elDiablo's coat appears a loaded pistol. He simply walks up to BiG_D, and without saying a word, pulls the trigger, crating a massive hole in BiG_D's head and spraying blood everywhere.

It is then that waterproofbob also pulls a pistol from his coat, turns, and shoots Ronin_Storm in the head...

VibroAxe watches the scene in horror, and suddenly the realisation sets in. "It was you two all along..."

"O VibroAxe, it seems that your 'usefulness' is now over." Raising his pistol to point at VibroAxe, he lets loose a second bullet, piercing his heart.

Sheriff Twisto then walks in through the doors, wondering what all the gunfire is about, and barely has time to draw his own pistol before he too is ruthlessly gunned down by a single shot from elDiablo's weapon.[/desc]

The townspeople have lost. There were two remaining mafia members at the beginning of this day, against 4 innocents. An innocent was lynched, meaning that the Mafia would also be killing an innocent, giving them the win.

GAME OVER!

I may well have been Ronin, although i was putting very obvious hints out, someone who knows the use of my vocabulary would have noticed these, but instead ... its was the fact that i just followed suit in pointing fingers :p

Hmm, i must contemplate on this before making my decision ... otherwise If he dies, we're one less innocent member down!
